Common Problems of the 6150 Sewing Machine (and How to Fix Them)

The 6150D is a reliable machine, but every industrial machine develops issues over time. Here are the most common and how to fix them.

Skipped stitches

Usually caused by a worn or mistimed rotary hook or the wrong needle. Check the needle size matches your fabric and replace a worn hook.

Check the needle is not bent, the thread path is clean and the tension is not too high. A damaged bobbin case also causes breakage.

Clean the tension discs and re-thread the machine. A damaged bobbin case is often the culprit.
